Paul is an accomplished international sports broadcaster with comprehensive expertise in studio presenting, on-location reporting, and live commentary.

He is currently a presenter for BBC News, delivering televised sports updates to a global audience of millions. Alongside his television duties, Paul is a regular reporter for BBC Radio 5Live’s acclaimed '5Live Sport' programme.

Paul’s extensive commentary portfolio is sought by leading international networks. He regularly covers the EFL Championship for SkySports+ and Italy’s Serie A for DAZN. He is also a familiar voice on the UEFA Women’s Champions League and is frequently engaged by world feeds to provide commentary for a wide range of competitions, including:

  • UEFA club and international tournaments

  • The EFL and WSL

  • CONMEBOL World Cup qualifiers

  • The Turkish Super Lig

Beyond football, Paul is a specialist tennis commentator. In 2025, he joined BBC Radio 5Live’s prestigious commentary team for Wimbledon. He also provides annual coverage of the other three Grand Slams for Eurosport and commentates on the WTA Tour.

Previously, Paul was based in Istanbul as a Presenter and Correspondent for TRT World (2015-2019). This role involved extensive on-location reporting from major global sporting events, including the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia and the Davis Cup Final in France.

Throughout his career, Paul has conducted high-profile interviews with many of the most significant figures in sport, including IOC President Thomas Bach, Sepp Blatter, Novak Djokovic, Eddie Howe, Boris Becker, and the late ‘Marvellous’ Marvin Hagler.
